Eagle Eye

Bath Twp, Michigan

Overview

The Eagle Eye golf course, located at Eagle Eye Golf & Banquet Center in Bath Twp, Michigan, is the first of Chris Lutzke’s solo projects. From the back tees at 7308 yards, the par 72 Eagle Eye can play as long and difficult as any course in the country. At the same time four other sets of tees (6731, 6490, 6107 and 5151) and generous landing areas will allow every skill level of golfer to enjoy the challenge. The rolling links style course is surrounded by a beautiful and tranquil Michigan landscape.

This championship golf course has won many rankings since its inception, including Golf Digest’s 5th best public course in Michigan and Michigan Golf’s 4th best championship course in the state.

Chris Lutzke designed Eagle Eye in a format that allows players to set their own risks for each reward. This is especially true on Hole 3, where the longer tees force golfers into a 350-yard game and the middle tees provide a more workable 285 yards. Each hole has five sets of tees, meaning that players always have the opportunity to create their own game.  In recognition of his mentor, Chris built a replica of Pete Dye’s par-3 Island Green 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass.

The 18-hole championship course offers golfers an all-around experience that they can mold into a more challenging route or something more manageable for beginning players who are just getting started in the sport.

It is very well manicured. Challenging greens and fun to play.

Very challenging layout but pretty player friendly.

Absolutely my favorite course in Michigan.
