The STraits at Whistling Straits
Kohler, Wisconsin
Overview
The Straits at Whistling Straits is thought of by many golfers as one of the greatest championship courses anywhere in the United States, as it has hosted 3 PGA Championships, the US Senior Open and the 2021 Ryder Cup. Chris Lutzke spent two years fine- tuning the Straights Course in preparation of the Ryder Cup. Working with the PGA of America, subtle changes were made to the Pete Dye course that Chris helped originally build.
Hugging the shoreline of Lake Michigan, The Straits embodies the area’s natural beauty with rolling hills, large sand dunes and countless bunkers.

The Straits covers two miles of shoreline, and the wind coming off Lake Michigan creates an interesting game, forcing the game’s best golfers to take a clever approach to each hole. While challenging the best players, it also provides alternate routes to the green with options for all experience levels.
Whistling Straits provides endless fun for all players in a rugged, but jaw dropping landscape, which is why it is so widely loved among the golfers who have played it.
